Years End

Another year has come and is just about gone, yes we are in the mist of the holiday season, Thanksgiving has past and Christmas is upon us once again. I give thanks to God for bringing me through another year and a new season. I pray that the upcoming year will see me through continual good health of mind and body, and I send up the same prayer for family and friends, associates, customers and business partners. I also pray for prosperity and wealth and financial blessing throughout the upcoming year, and years to follow God willing, Amen.
There have been a lot that has happen this past year, with the war in Iraq still raging and our young men and women soldiers being killed almost on a daily basis, when will the madness stop? I attempt to stay neutral with my view point on the war. I have served my country for many years both as a Marine and Airforce Technician, I've traveled to foreign soil and experienced different cultures I have even been to Saudi Arabia. I have a son that is now serving in the Airforce, God bless Timothy, stay safe, I love you. I know that in my heart, that it is past time to bring our troops home, and I would ask everyone in America to pray for our young people's safe return home, immediately !!
We've had the congressional elections, which included reelection of some, and new seats for others, my understanding is the democrat's picked up 31 additional seats, and I say that with a smile :-). We still have a Presidential election coming up soon, so if you are a registered voter please get out there and show your support for your favorite candidate. If you are not registered yet, please get registered, without your vote there can be no change for the betterment of our country. And yes, your vote matters.
As I stated earlier there have been lot that has happen this past year, Gerald LeVert, you will be missed my brother. God has called quite a few of his people to come home
and as you all know when God calls we have to answer. As the year draws to an end, I ask all to look back and reflect on this past year, did you accomplish all that you set out to do, how many to-do's did you finish and how many was left undone? Did your priority's change as the year drew closer to an end? Are they still prevalent or do they matter at all? What gains did you incorporate that will make a difference in the upcoming year in accomplishing your goals? There are many questions that can be asked and perhaps answered, but no matter what it is that you do, where you go,remember to always put God first in all things and all your journeys in all that you do and say will have a pilot that is guaranteed to get you there. Be thoughtful and kind to others, not just your family and friends. Be patient, and most of all teach the children, they are our future, instill in them the values of respect for theirselves and most importantly love, love of self will enable love of others. Too much has happen and we as a people need to come togather to make sure our chidren have a positive furture to look forward to. Your comments are welcome, keep them clean. MERRY CHRISTMAS, GOD BLESS
